Ron Perlman knows a few things about playing the villain. Sure, he’s played a few heroes over the years, but even then, they often fall into the range of anti-hero, like Hellboy. Clay Morrow, his character on FX’s Sons of Anarchy, is one of the most despicable characters Perlman has ever played, which is no surprise, seeing as how he’s based on one of Shakespeare’s most despicable villains. Many fans might have expected Clay to make it to the final episode, but he actually got bumped off in the sixth season. Let’s take a look at the real reason why Ron Perlman left Sons of Anarchy.
